New Zealand, Day #4 - Mount Cook, Te Anau

Wednesday, February 21, 2018:
We woke up early and drove from Tekapo to Mount Cook for a hike and then drove to Te Anau for the evening. The day started out cool and wet again but that didn't stop us!

Stopped for coffee at this cafe on the side of the road and also purchased some Merino wool gloves because our hands were freezing in these temperatures.

The hike to the first lookout point wasn't very long. I think it was about 30 minutes return with some time spent to enjoy the beauty at the top.

This is the first bridge of the second hike we did at Mount Cook. There were 3 bridges and it was a 10km hike. It said 4 hours but we completed it in just over 3 with a short snack break at the view point.

The drive to Te Anau.

Las frutas! I'm not sure why these were there but I like 'em.

We finished the day with this beautiful sunset as we drove to Te Anau.
